Blackberry Sorbet

This is a perfect healthy dessert for summer.  Replace the blackberries with any frozen berries. You can whip this up in no time. 

Not only is this dessert delicious, its packed with goodness. Your body will thank you because the nutritional value of blackberries is pretty impressive. Gut friendly blackberries are high in fibre and will help boost your digestive health. Blackberries are prebiotics, meaning they feed the friendly bacteria in your gut which has been linked to immunity, mood and has anti inflammatory effects.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Frozen Blackberries
  • 2 Tblspns Water or Allowable Milk
  • 2 Tblspns Honey optional

Instructions

  • Place frozen berries in a high-speed blender and let it defrost for 10 minutes.
  • add water or milk, and honey. Blend until smooth.
  • Serve immediately. 
Notes
If the sorbet is too soft, place sorbet in a container and place in the freezer. Mix occasionally to prevent crystals from forming
