INGREDIENTS USED
Coconut Aminos – is a great substitute for soy sauce making the recipe soy free. You can purchase it from health food stores and some supermarkets. Alternatively, you can buy it online. I have a few online stores I like to support who are fellow allergy mums including Happy Tummies.
Ginger – I love using ginger because I love the flavour but also love the health benefits. I use it to make a herbal tea, in my cooking and freshly grated over my meals.
Ginger is known to have anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antiviral, and other healthful properties. It is thought to relieve gas, improve digestion, reduce nausea and ease cold and flu symptoms. Read more about some health benefits to ginger here
Garlic – Another amazing ingredient in this dish is garlic. Garlic has been used for its medicinal purposes throughout ancient and modern history. I’m talking more than keeping vampires away. It can be taken to prevent and treat a wide range of conditions and diseases.
Please be aware that garlic may irritate and exasperate eczema, so best to avoid if you are an eczema sufferer. Read more about health benefits to garlic here.
